How big will these mini goldendoodles get?

Well since mama, Butter is about 19lbs, and daddy, Gadget, is both around 13lbs and when standing on all fours they are right around knee-height of a 5-5 person. So, it’s safe to say that the puppies should be around that same size full-grown, give or take a few lbs.

Do you have both parents?

We don’t. Butter, their mother, lives with us in Tampa, Fl while their dad, Gadget, lives in Kissimmee, Fl with his family.

Are they prone to any medical conditions?

Our parents have been health tested and have come back clear for any common genetic markers that would be concerning and impact the health of your puppy.

Can they become aggressive dogs?

They are generally not known for their aggression but for their loving nature. In some rare cases, a Goldendoodle may show signs of aggression, but these cases are usually the result of specific circumstances and/or lack of training and socialization. This shouldn’t be an issue for your pup as they will be properly trained and socialized from an early age.

Do they shed?

It’s a common misconception that doodles do not shed. They actually do shed, but significantly less than many breeds thanks to their poodle ancestry. With that said, you will likely not see their fur all over your home because when they do shed, it gets trapped in their curly coats, which makes regular brushing and combing (particularly near their roots when their fur is longer) a necessity to avoid matting.

Are they one-person dogs or can they bond with the whole family?

They are people-pleasers and LOVE their humans and develop special relationships with all members of their family (other pets included!)…But, like most of us, they may still have a “favorite” person, but that doesn’t mean they love the others any less.

Do they need a specialized diet?

Not particularly, however, they do require a diet that includes grains (no grain-free dog food) for heart health, and meat and fish for their skin, coat, and high energy . We feed mama, Butter, a combo of Nulo Kibble + fresh food, and do highly recommend this combo.

How hard are they to train?

They are incredibly easy to train, even for new pet owners, with treats, patience and consistency.

Are they good with kids?

They are excellent with kids and love playing with tiny humans. They also have the innate desire to keep them safe. 10/10 recommend for homes with kids!
